WHAT TO BRING...

Autumn in New England is one of the most beautiful times of year. Make the most of your Fall Foliage Vacation by being prepared! It is important to be aware of weather patterns in the Northeast during the months of September and October as daytime temperatures can reach the 80's with nighttime lows in the 30's.

It's not uncommon to be hot in the sun as you're hiking one day, and wake up to snowy mountain peaks the next. Be aware that elevation plays a significant roll in the climate of the Mountians. Temperatures can change over 20 degrees from the base of a mountain to the top, and a calm breeze down low can be a strong wind up high.

Please don't let these factors deter you, in fact it's these weather patterns that make Autumn in New England spectacular- just ask any photographer! Depending on your style of adventure, the following items may come in handy to keep you comfortable in any conditions on your Fall Foliage Vacation.

- CLOTHING -

Light Clothing - Shorts - T Shirts
Rain Coat - Wind Breaker - Heavy Jacket
Breathable Undergarment Tops & Bottoms - Great for Layering
Long Sleeve Shirts - Heavy Button Downs - Sweaters
Walking Shoes - Hiking Boots
Socks to suit your shoes & style of adventure
Brimmed Hat - Knit Hat - Sunglasses - Sun Screen
Light Gloves - Hand Warmers
Backpack

- FOR THE CAR -

Blanket - Towel
Hand Sanitizer - Napkins
Water - Snacks
Picnic Items - Knife & Cutting Board - Cups
Change of Clothes
Flashlight - Batteries - Matches - Lighter

- DON'T FORGET YOUR CAMERA GEAR! -

Be sure to pack for warm weather, sun, wind, rain, cool temps, and even snow! If prepared, you'll be ready for what ever Mother Nature brings your way, and able to enjoy the beauty of the mountains in any condition. Always check the forecast, and keep in mind that the weather in the mountains is always full of surprises!
