December 11, 2011: Whiteface Rail Jam...It's a new season...come kick it off right!
Registration event day begins at 8:00 a.m to 10:00 a.m. at Guest Services. There is a $10 entry fee per participant.
Age groups:
12 and under;
13 to 18;
19 and over.
Course check at 10:30 a.m.
Jam session starts at 11:00 a.m.
Helmets required for all participants.

Five select Sundays will feature $35 lift tickets, fun themes, along with food & drink specials in the Cloudspin Lounge, exciting slope-side games and more!
Whiteface has a lot of rich history and this Super Sunday we will be celebrating it and the people that helped make our mountain what it is today! There are several fun activities throughout the day including:
*A fireside chat with Nat - Natalie LaDuke will lead an open discussion of local ski history
*Whiteface and Lake Placid Ski Photo Display
*A ceremony at 2 PM honoring the historical marker Whiteface is creating in recongintion of a group of pioneer ski racers who built a lean-to on what is now the Wilderness Trail to provide racers with warmth and shelter. Among those people were: Carl Ortloff,Ronald MacKenzie, William Hovey, Sr., Ernest Bouvier, Harold Southmayd, Leslie Nash, William Swift,Gordon Wilson, Jr., William Hovey, Jr. and Vernon Lamb, Jr.
*Getting Hooked on History in the Cloudspin Lounge at 2:30 PM with specials on Red Hood Beer.
*Contest in the Cloudspin Lounge for the best 40's Ski Attire, with 40's music and displays from the Whiteface archives. The best historical outfit will win a Whiteface Snow Sampler of 4 Lift Tickets!

Whiteface is hosting its Annual Whiteface Mountain Telemark & Alpine Touring Demo Day, where you can not only enjoy trying out gear from some of the top brands such as Dynafit, Scarpa, Black Diamond, Garmont and many others, attend free technic clinic, meet regional reps. and get great gear coupons and discounts!

December 29, 2011: New Year's Masters Ski Jump
Ski jumping excellence and the Art Devlin Cup is up for grabs in Lake Placid, N.Y on the 90K jump.
December 30, 2011: NYSEF 90K New Year's Ski Jump
NYSEF hosts its annual ski jumping event on the 90-meter hill. Many of these jumpers are moving through the ranks with hopes of one day making the U.S. team in the future.

January 8, 2012: USASA Slopestyle
Slopestyle tests a rider's ability to handle a variety of terrain by executing freestyle maneuvers down a course filled with terrain features including rails, hips, tabletops and a multitude of jumps, allowing riders to combine big air and technical tricks into one run. Riders are judged on amplitude, execution, difficulty of line, landings and use of the course.

January 19-21, 2012: FIS Freestyle World Cup
This event kicks off with men's and women's moguls on the 19th, followed by two nights of high-flying aerial events!
The Freestyle World Cup is an international competition where elite freestyle skiers compete in aerial and mogul events. Watch in amazement as these athletes launch off kickers into the cold, crisp air to perform unbelievable twists and turns at the Olympic Jumping Complex and race down Whiteface moguls at incredible speeds.

This ski racing event consists of classic and freestyle races and is open to different levels of racers. Winners will be added to the Harry Eldridge Memorial Cup.
