Lake Placid NY: The village of Lake Placid is located in the six million-acre Adirondack Park of upstate New York. The Winter Olympic Games of 1932 and 1980 were hosted by Lake Placid in Essex County.

Whiteface Mountain Gift Shop
Need to update your winter ski apparel? Why not head down to the Whiteface gift shop in the Main Base Lodge. We have what you need to ski, ride, and look your best. Shop for the newest fashions in jackets, pants, under-layers, hats, gloves, goggles and much more. We also carry a wide variety of tees, sweatshirts and novelty items for those who want to bring home the perfect keepsake of their time at Whiteface. Our prices are competitive with those anywhere!
Ski Storage
Overnight ski storage is available in the tune and repair shop located on the ground level of the Base Lodge next to the rental shop. Storage is also available at Kids Kampus.
Lockers
Coin-operated lockers are available on the ground and main level of the Base Lodge and at the Kids Kampus Lodge. Change machines are located on the ground level and main level of the Main Base Lodge.
Bag Check
Bag check is available in the Base Lodge at the lost and found, Ausable Picnic Room and Kids Kampus below Black Bear Cafe.
Lost and Found
Found items should be turned in at the lost and found desk on the ground level of the Base Lodge and downstairs in the Kids Kampus Lodge.
ATM
A Citizens Bank ATM is located on main level of the Base Lodge. No ATMs are available at Kids Kampus.
Cell phone coverage on Whiteface Mountain is limited.
Wireless Service
Available at the Main Base Lodge and Kids Kampus (for a nominal fee)
Shuttle Service
The Mountain Valley Shuttle is a free service for skiers and riders to the mountain. Shuttle departures begin at the Mirror Lake Inn at 7:00 a.m. and will arrive at Whiteface approximately 35 minutes later.
Shuttles begin late December; schedules to be posted soon.

The Lake Placid Village Xpress Green Trolley operates throughout the winter and will include a stop at the Olympic Center Box Office to transfer riders to the Mountain Valley Shuttle bus departing for Whiteface.

Mid-Station Lodge
Covered in snow and nestled halfway down the mountain is the Mid-Station Lodge where you will find traditional resort fare. Our outdoor deck offers a prime spot to watch slope side action while refueling with breakfast sandwiches, high-calorie trail mix and energy drinks. For a quick snack our Nachos feature crisp tortillas and melted cheese. Have a family to feed? Stop here for grilled hamburgers, hot dogs and cheeseburgers to go with your hot chocolate or thirst-quenching beer. Before you know it, you'll be ready to hit the black diamond trails.

Boule's Bistro
Want to cozy up to a freshly brewed cup of coffee or glass of New York State wine? Join us in Boule's Bistro located on Mid-Station's lower level where you'll enjoy a leisurely lunch and our scenic view from the mountain. Hearty soups served in bread bowls, spectacular sandwiches and Panini's, fresh salads, weekend and holiday specials such as our duck with roasted red skin potatoes and signature desserts are offered with our warm welcome. Just the place to revive your energy for your next great run.

Try our chef's crowd-pleasing Whiteface Mountain Chili. It's so good you'll want to take some home! J. Lohr Vineyards & Wines Café & Wine Bar
Relax and unwind in the J. Lohr Vineyards & Wines Café & Wine Bar conveniently located on the Main Level of the Base Lodge. Begin your day with our fine selection of cappuccino, espresso and lattés served with delicious homemade pastries. For lunch, enjoy Adirondack chef salads, panini selections and our famous Whiteface Mountain Chili along with a refreshingly smart Fuze® beverage ---- it will ready you for an afternoon on the hill.
After a long day of skiing, head to the café and delight in a glass of Seven Oaks Cabernet, Los Osos Merlot or Riverstone Chardonnay from J. Lohr Estates. Of course, our decadent desserts will complement any meal or beverage and are a well-deserved treat.

Base Camp Café
The Base Camp Café is the place for guests of all ages to sample and savor their favorite foods. Begin your day on the big mountain with a Dunkin Donuts coffee, a hot breakfast sandwich, pancakes or French toast served with REAL Adirondack Maple Syrup and chilled juice. Come in for a hearty lunch and select from our daily specials, soups, salads, sandwiches, chicken tenders, pizza, burgers, chicken sandwiches and freshly baked desserts; or après ski to satisfy "the munchies" this is a traditional gathering place to visit with friends and family.

Black Bear Café
Located in Kid's Kampus Lodge, our Black Bear Café offers our youngest guests appealing food and beverages that build stamina and energy for fun on the slopes. Start the day off right with a selection of breakfast sandwiches and favorite juices; continue with our daytime choices featuring burgers, hotdogs, sandwiches, pizza, fries, snacks and a selection of beverages.
